Wilora Lake Vespers

Two Central members provide a vesper service twice a month on Sundays at Wilora Lake Lodge, a retirement residence and nursing home in east Charlotte. 

On the third Sunday, Nikki Allison prepares and leads a 30 minute evening vespers program for residents at the Lodge.  She is assisted by a clavinova player.  The group sings hymns and is presented a lesson from a series of Christian books by James Moore that touch of various aspects of Christian Life based on Bible verses.  The service is closed with a prayer and warm greeting to each participant.

Mark Nazarchyk leads the vesper service on the fourth Sunday evening of each month. His services consist of prayer, songs and a short message. His message topics vary on content including personal experiences; Bible-based lessons and other Christian-based lessons.  Mark spends time socializing with the residents after the service. He says it is a wonderful experience sharing God's word and listeing to the needs of the residents.
