ANGELA A. PLEASANTS
PASTOR

Reverend Angela A. Pleasants is Pastor of Central United Methodist Church.  She is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina.  She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical (A&T) State University.  She then went on to obtain her Masters of Divinity Degree at Duke University Divinity School.  Reverend Pleasants' hobbies include reading, running, boxing and a passion for basketball.  She can be reached via email at revapleasants@bellsouth.net.

SARAH DULL
DIRECTOR OF YOUTH AND CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Sarah Dull is a true blue Carolina girl, born and raised in Lexington, NC.  She is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she is majoring in Religious Studies with a minor in Children's Literature and Children's Studies.  She looks to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in December 2009 and then pursue a Master of Divinity degree.  Sarah is a candidate for ordination through the United Methodist Church and is looking to be certified in April 2009.  Sarah has participated in many ministries of the Western North Carolina Conference including serving on the Conference Council of Youth Ministries, staffing conference youth retreats, and writing a devotion that was included in the 2007 WNCC Soul Tending pamphlet.  Sarah's hobbies include reading, singing, watching movies, going to concerts, spending time with her family and friends and spoiling her two dogs, Prince Harry and John Wesley.  She can be reached via email at sdull1@uncc.edu.

Edna Welch has been the Church Secretary at Central United Methodist Church for 37 years.  She was born in Roseboro, NC (Sampson County) and grew up with four brothers.  She enjoyed playing baseball and basketball with her brothers.  She then played basketball in high school.  Now she has four children and ten grandchildren.  Her first pastor at CUMC was Reverend George H. Needham.  Reverend Angela Pleasants is the 10th pastor with which Edna has worked.  Watching sports on TV and going to games with her children and grandchildren are her hobby and joy.  She can be reached via email at ednaw@bellsouth.net.

ROBERT L. KENNEDY
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

Robert L. Kennedy is a renown conductor and clinician having worked with orchestral, handbell, choral and harp ensembles.  He has studied with many music masters in the U S and Europe including special studies with Dr. Andrew Brown, Dr. William Greenfield, Sir David Willcocks and John Rutter, to name a few.  He is President of the Chapter Harp Chapter of AHS, Board Member of Mid-Carolinas Handbell Festival and past Sub-Dean of the Charlotte AGO.  He has been a public school music teacher/supervisor, professor in colleges/universities and prepared choirs for participation in the International Church Music Festivals in Switzerland, Scotland and the UK. He believes music is a ministry and not just a job and always strives to get the best from any ensemble. Drucie is from Charlotte, NC, attended Independence High School and graduated from Queens College with a B.A. in Music.

She is well known around the area for private piano lessons as well as getting students ready for competition opportunities.

She has served as Organist and Choir Director at Amity Presbyterian, Albemarle Road Presbyterian, Dulin Grove Advent Christian Church as well as Philadelphia Presbyterian Church.

She currently serves as accompanist for Upper School Choirs at Charlotte Country Day School.  She is married to Darrell Eudy and they reside in Locust, NC. Drucie has one son, David. In addition to music, she enjoys having numerous pets, doing needlework and baking.
