Shepherd's Center East is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to promote continued personal and spiritual growth and to help mature adults lead creative, meaningful and independent lives. The program meets three times a year at Central UMC for its Adventures in Learning series, which offers a variety of classes such as watercolor painting and crafts and activities including book reviews and musical entertainment.It also coordinates trips, coffee chats and other programs such as a special Valentine's tea.
Shepherd's Center East also offers seniors transportation to and from medical appointments.Volunteers are needed for driving and performing special office tasks, etc.
