***Volunteers are needed to work at the church carnival Saturday, April 27. It takes 100 members to provide a safe, entertaining carnival for the 1,000 folks who usually come. You are needed to set up in the morning, serve food, conduct crafts, monitor amusements, miscellaneous tasks and clean up at the end. Please let Nancy Franza know you can help or contact the church office at 704-536-9157.
***The Evangelism Committee is looking for volunteers to do special hospitality at Central, showing others the love of Jesus Christ. Positions include greeter, pew partner, parking lot attendant, new member sponsor, Thank You team and usher. Contact the church office to sign up 704-536-9157.
***If you can volunteer to pick up and take home folks who need a ride to Sunday School and church on Sundays, please contact Christy at 704-536-9157.
***Sign up with Pastor Susan Webster to provide refreshments or assist in other ways at the ESOL classes Friday mornings when the classes are in session.
***A fund has been started for purchasing a passenger van to transport youth and children to various events--even adults. Mark your donation "Van Fund."
***Volunteers are always welcome to help in the nursery during worship. Contact Christy if you are interested: 704-536-9157.
***School supplies are always needed for Albemarle Road Elementary School and Albemarle Road Middle School. Deposit your contribution in the box near Christy's office.
***A few young people in the church need help with homework and reading comprehension. If you are able to help, please contact Pastor Susan at 704-536-9157.
***Donations are being requested for CCC HOME (Homeless Outreach Mission Experience) in Asheville for the summer of 2013. Needed for the mission are:
*adult clothing; all sizes
*new socks
*new underwear
*small packpacks
*sleeping bags
*tents
*shoes/boots; new or gently used
*toiletries.
